About Us
Front and Center Theatre Productions Inc. is a not-for-profit 501(c)(3) organization that is expanding to finally have a permanent home at 120 West Wieuca Road, Suite 205 Atlanta, Georgia 30342. This location will serve as the office/headquarters for Front and Center’s administrative staff as well as occasional auditions and table reads. Front and Center will also rent various theatre venues for performances and workshops for at-risk youth of all ethnicities. Front and Center concentrates on educating at-risk youth on self-confidence, self-growth and social issues through performance arts. This plan concentrates on the first year of operation, opening with strategic start-up and then operating it through creative programming, marketing, product and service sales, and fundraising. We are seeking funding to add to our previous donations, for initial start-up expenses to be used for build-out, rent and related issues, equipment, and initial cash to handle the first few months of expenses. Our annual revenue will continue with a combination of memberships, admissions to programs, product and services sales, fundraising activities, and city, county, and state grants.
We have already formed several strategic alliances with various organizations and businesses that will help or have helped to make Front and Center Theatre Productions Inc. a success.
Mission
Front and Center Theater Productions Inc. mission is to provide an artistic alternative to the problematic experience of being a teen in high crime rated urban communities, and to celebrate and promote the artistic elements of the medium and related ones. Front and Center strives to nurture and promote the art of performing as it strengthens the exploration of ones self. Included in the mission will be special consideration for cultural diversity. Front and Center Theatre Productions Inc. will be a harbor to be free, enjoy, learn, and discover. It will also be a workplace of inclusion, respect and love with a focus on the development of creativity and ideas that defy video games and unproductive television programs.
There is no organization in Atlanta, Georgia that currently provides the services and emphasis that Front and Center will provide for at-risk youth. Our warmhearted theatergoers and parents will be pleased to know that there is an artistic alternative for negative behavior but in a package with confidence and stage presence.
